The new Samsung NX10 camera, which is slightly bigger than a micro 4/3rds camera and smaller than standard DSLR cameras, has essentially created a new category of cameras.
The Samsung NX10 features a real SLR sensor, but it doesn’t come with the single lens reflex that is found in normal SLR cameras. It’s designed to give you almost SLR quality pictures without the size of a full SLR camera.
Specifications for the Samsung NX10 are a bit of a mystery, but so far it’s confirmed that this baby stuffs a 14.6 megapixel sensor into its housing, and it will come bundled with an 18-55mm lens, capable of shooting up to seven frames per second.
Due to the nature of the size, the lenses for the Samsung NX10 won’t be compatible with any other cameras. Pricing and additional specs are forthcoming. (www.samsung.com)
