Adobe have pushed out Flash 10.1 Beta 3, and the most interesting change is the introduction of GMA 500 GPU support. This means support for the graphics found in many netbooks, which previously would have trouble playing smooth 720p HD video.
According to Netbooked’s testing on an ASUS Eee PC T91 convertible tablet netbook (which uses Intel GMA 500 graphics), the end result is far smoother than before though not perfect. 720p video plays reasonably well, though it’s not entirely jerk-free.
Flash 10.1 Beta 3 is available for Windows, Mac and Linux users. It’s worth noting that, since it’s still in beta, you could encounter some system instabilities.
