Super Smile’s SuperSmile Series II LS 45 Toothbrush

To clean and polish teeth while removing plaque and bacteria from beneath the gum crevice is the goal of all dental hygiene. Because a toothbrush’s performance relies heavily on the angle of its bristles and so many brushes have an inadequate design, many toothbrush brands fall short of this task.

The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends brushing at a 45˚ angle to efficiently clean teeth and maintain healthy gums. However, most toothbrushes today boast designs with staggered bristle lengths, revolving tips, or ineffective dips in the center of the brush. Even those with uniform bristles, including battery- and electric-powered varieties, rely too heavily on the user to hold the brush at the proper angle.

“This translates to inadequate brushing,” says Dr. Irwin Smigel, founder and president of the American Society for Dental Aesthetics and inventor of Supersmile Intelligent Smile Care™.  Perhaps this is why, according to the USDA, 75% of the population over age 35 has some form of Gingivitis, an early stage of gum disease in which tartar and bacterial plaque buildup cause inflammation.

Supersmile, makers of the #1 whitening toothpaste recommended by cosmetic dentists, developed the only toothbrush on the market with a patented, ADA-recommended 45˚ angled brush head. Now, they’ve applied this same precision design to their latest introduction: the Series II LS 45˚ Advanced Sonic Pulse Toothbrush—the ONLY electric toothbrush that combines 45˚-angled bristles with state-of-the-art sonic technology to effectively clean and polish teeth both beneath and below the sulcus.

Sleek and comfortable to use, the Series II LS 45˚ Advanced Sonic Pulse Toothbrush took two years to develop. It operates at 30,000 strokes per minute and offers three custom settings: CLEAN for exceptional cleaning, GENTLE for sensitive teeth and PULSE to help stimulate blood flow to the gums.

A two-minute auto timer pulses at 30-second intervals, signaling the user that it’s time to move to a different quadrant of the mouth, making brushing goof-proof. It comes with two 45˚ interchangeable brush heads which should be replaced every three months.  The Supersmile Series II LS 45˚ Advanced Sonic Pulse Toothbrush sells for $99.
