Sherpa Chair is a unique and portable folding chair that you can strap on your back just like a backpack. When you’re in need of a place to sit down when you’re not at home, i.e. a children’s outdoor sporting event, the Sherpa Chair is a portable solution that offers some advantages over the traditional folding chair.
The Sherpa Chair folds completely, taking up little space. It has adjusting shoulder straps that allow it to be carried just like a backpack, with both hands free to carry other items. And its spacious pouch carries all the extra gear necessary for just about any trip. It’s nice for a lawn chair, camping chair, fishing chair, hunting chair, sporting chair or the beach.
This 5-pound wonder sports a 480-cubic-inch pounch in the back, which I find super nice, and allows you to hold your critical on-the-go-stuff like magazines, books, music players, anything that you might be carrying with you on your excursion. It also has a velcro closing lip on the back compartment to keep your stuff in tact.
The company who markets the Sherpa Chair, Festino Corp, even offers an optional cooler bag that can be placed inside the pocket (coming soon). The Sherpa Chair also has an attached cup holder, perfect for your favorite bevy.
Folding dimensions measure 25″H x 20″W, and 3″ thick. It’s like the iPhone of chairs. And it’s not bad as far as comfort goes either. True, we are talking about a piece of furniture with little to it, however the design lends itself to a pretty comfy sit. It also has seat-back straps that can adjust the angle of the back, and a carrying handle for another toting option.
Now while it’s not exactly a chaise lounger, the Sherpa Chair certainly makes use of what little material and mechanics it has. Because the design uses a sort-of resistent-weight distribution, it can hold a heavy load while allowing you to relax in some comfort. Perhaps the best-designed folding chair on the market, you won’t be disappointed in this unique product.
The Sherpa Chair is available in Forest Green, Red and Camouflage, and sells for around $30. (www.sherpachair.com)
