A phone purported to be the Nokia C7 has turned up in the wild, only a day after being spotted on a leaked 2010 roadmap document. According to Chinese site Tencent, the
Nokia C67-00 has a roughly 3.5-inch touchscreen display along with an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash.
There are also stereo speakers and a front-facing camera, together with stereo speakers flanking the rear camera and a 3.5mm headphone socket up top. Beyond that, with no
sign of photos showing the camera powered on, it’s unknown what OS the C7-00 will run; we’d like to think that it’ll have Symbian^3 (rather than S60 5th Ed) and a capacitive
touchscreen (rather than resistive).
It’s an unusual design for Nokia, though we’re not complaining; it looks far slicker than some of their other recent touchscreen devices, such as the X6. No word on
release dates or pricing, but going by the roadmap leak this should be near the top of the CSeries and priced accordingly.
