Android 2.2, otherwise known as ‘Froyo’, is here, with it’s debut starting on the Nexus One. Android 2.2’s official arrival was last week, which let cell carriers determine when they would roll-out the update. If you’re a Nexus One owner, make sure the thing has network connectivity and you should get an alert for an OTA (over the air) update.
Google had the following to say:
In order to access the update, you will receive a message on your phone’s notification bar. Just download the update, wait for it to install, and you should be all set. This update will be rolled out gradually to phones – and most users will receive the notification by the end of the week . We hope you enjoy these new features.
Android 2.2 brings mobile Flash support to the Nexus One, as well as a host of other improvements.
