Acer’s new S1 series of LCD Monitors are only 13mm and 15mm thick, and available in 20-, 21.5- and 23-inch sizes. The S1 series includes a 1080p resolution for the 21.5-inch and 23-inch models. Other specifications include a 12,000,000:1 (dynamic) contrast ratio, 5ms response time, 250 nits brightness, 16.7m colors, LED backlight, and Energy Star 5.0 certification. The 23-inch version gets an HDMI port, while the others vary between either a VGA port, DVI port, or both. The S1 series is available later this month for $169.99 (S201HL), $219.99 (S211HL) and $269.99 (S231HL).
