Acer announces liquidmini and beTouch E210 Android Froyo phones
—Acer announced a pair of budget-friendly Android phones set to launch in the U.K. later this year. Distant cousin of the Liquid Metal, the liquidmini has a 3.2-inch 480 x 320-pixel touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera, a 600MHz processor and the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system.
The beTouch E210 features a full QWERTY keypad beneath a 2.6-inch 320 x 240-pixel touchscreen display. It also sports Froyo, a 418MHz processor, a 3.2-megapixel camera and an inferiority complex. Both of these phones will launch in the second quarter and while pricing hasn’t yet been announced, expect them to be free on contract.
