Katie, Stanton, Twitter’s vice president of international strategy, stated that they now have more than 200 million ‘Twitterers’, 70% of them from outside of the U.S. Japan rules the roost with more than 25% of posts originating from Asia Major and Minor. You wouldn’t believe it, but Twitter is about to celebrate its 5-year birthday. It launched in July of 2006, and adds a half-million new users per day. Can you say ‘advertising gold-mine’?
