Verizon just stocked their shelves with a slew of new super smarphones, four to be exact. First up is Sony Ericsson’s highly anticipated gaming phone, the Xperia PLAY. The PLAY features a 4-inch WVGA display, Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, a slide-out dedicated gaming controller and a $199.99 price tag.
The LG Revolution is here, and it features a 4.3-inch touchscreen, Android 2.2 Froyo, Samsung’s TouchWiz UI and a blazing fast 4G LTE radio. At $249.99 it’s the priciest phone Verizon is launching today.
Motorola’s DROID X2 is launching today as well, and it sports a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 4.3-inch display with qHD resolution and a surprisingly slim body, all for $199.99.
Finally, Verizon’s HTC Trophy is the carrier’s first Windows Phone, featuring a 3.8-inch WVGA display, a 5-megapixel camera with 720p video capture support, 16GB of internal storage and global roaming capabilities. It’s definitely a good value at $149.99, but with next-generation Windows Phones set to launch alongside Mango, you might want to wait.
