Google+, Google’s new social network, is now available for iPhone

Apple took the wraps off of its official Google+ application for iOS. Google+ is the company’s new social network, released on June 28th and immediately made an Android application available to its users. It didn’t take long for Apple to approve the iPhone version.

Google+ for iOS is supported on the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 4, provided that the device is running iOS 3.1 or later. There’s no word if a dedicated iPad version is in the works.

I’ll have to say that it’s pretty slick, and offers something that Facebook doesn’t.  Essentially, your contacts that connect to you don’t have to ask you to do it.  So, if you’re using it for business purposes, you’re not limited to just “friends”.
