Samsung’s new Series 7 Laptop line offers Powerful performance in a compact and sleek form factor
Today, Samsung Electronics America Inc. announced the Series 7, a sleek, cutting edge laptop line. The Series 7 laptops ffer highly mobile users a powerful computing experience in one of the thinnest quad core PC to date. They feature a sleek brushed-aluminum body under one-inch thick, and a stunningly thin bezel screen (13-inch or 15.6-inch) through Samsung’s Max Screen technololgy. They include your choice of Intel® CoreTM i5 or Intel® CoreTM i7 processors, 6 or 8 GB of RAM, ExpressCache and Samsung’s exclusive FastStart technology.
There are several machines in the Series 7 with different screen sizes and options. The models in the Series 7 family include the 15.6-inch NP700Z5A-S02US that packs in a Core i7-2675QM processor, 6GB of RAM, 750GB HDD, 1.3MP webcam, and a battery good for up to nine hours. It has AMD Radeon HD 6750M graphics and the screen resolution is 1600×900. The machine also has Wi-Fi and more starting at $1,149.
Second in the line-up is the NP700Z5A-S01US, with the same processor as the other machine with 8GB of RAM, 570GB of storage, 15.6-inch screen at 1600×900, HD 6750M graphics and more. The main difference other than RAM between the two machines is the S01US has Windows 7 Pro and the S02US is Windows 7 Home Premium and the price at $1,299 for the SO1US.
Thirdly, the NP700Z3A-S01US has an Intel Core i5-2430M processor, Windows 7 Home Premium, 6GB of RAM, 750GB of storage, a 14-inch screen at 1600×900, AMD Radeon HD 6490M graphics, and Wi-Fi. The machine sells for $1,099.
The final new notebook is the NP700Z5B-W01UB. It has a Core i7-2675QM processor, 6GB of RAM, 750GB of storage, a 15.6-inch 1600×900 resolution screen, and a 1.3MP webcam. The graphics are via the AMD Xeymour HD 6490M GPU. This machine sells for $999.99.

With a sleek brushed-aluminum body under one-inch thick, smooth lines and a stunningly thin bezel screen, the Series 7 embodies premium design, making it an ideal computer for users looking to make a statement.
By minimizing the bezel and maximizing the screen, the Samsung Series 7 laptop is highly portable without sacrificing screen size. Incorporating Samsung’s latest Max Screen technology, the Series 7 enables users to experience up to an extra inch of viewing without sacrificing mobility or portability, with the 14-inch display being contained within the form factor traditionally associated with a 13-inch model.
The 13-inch or 15.6-inch HD+ (1600 x 900) high resolution, matte display features 16 million colors and up to 50 percent better brightness (300 nit) provided by Samsung Superbright Technology, as well as an AMD Radeon HD6750M graphics card.
