Gigabyte just unleashed their top-performing P2542G gaming laptop. Sporting a 15.6-inch 1,920 x 1,080 display, it runs on an Ivy Bridge Core i7-3610QM, with a 2GB NVIDIA GTX 660M card to power PC gaming’s most robust gaming titles. Additionally, it has a Blu-ray player and a THX-certified dual-woofer sound system. The yellow paint job gives it some pizzazz, and dual exhaust vents exist along the back edge.
The P2542G is a tad larger than both the Carbon X10 and the U2442. As mentioned, it has a Blu-ray drive and 1TB harddrive. There’s also a 128GB SSD built-in, as well as a very smooth-functioning keyboard. The screen is bright, and the overall performance is very fast, especially thanks to the quick SSD boot-up time. The Gigabyte 2542G launches this week in the UK for £1,300, and news of a US price and release date are soon to follow.
