Looks like LG is next in line to build a Nexus-branded Android smartphone. LG’s Nexus smartphone will be derivative of the Optimus G, and according to rumors, will sport a quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1280×768 resolution display, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera, on-screen soft keys, 8GB and 16GB internal storage models (no microSD card slot), non-removable battery and wireless charging. Additional speculation points to possibly other manufacturers building Nexus smartphones as well. That certainly is in-line with news that Google could split its Nexus smartphones among numerous handset makers. LG’s Nexus smartphone will reportedly be released the end of October.
