Dell Launching 3 Touchscreen Windows 8 PCs

Dell just unveiled three new touch-enabled Windows 8 PCs designed for various consumers.  The first is the XPS 12 Ultrabook/tablet hybrid.  Unlike other Ultrabook/tablet hybrids, the Dell XPS 12 uses a unique flip hinge design. It comes with a 12-inch display (1920 x 1080 resolution) with a base configuration that has the latest third-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB SSD and Intel HD 4000 graphics. The Dell XPS 12 Ultrabook convertible starts at $1,199.99 and comes with a premium carbon fiber display back and base.

Next is Dell’s 27-inch All-In-One XPS One 27 desktop.  The XPS One 27 has a large 27-inch Quad Hi-Def touchscreen display (2560 x 1440 resolution) that can be tilted up to a 60-degree angle. It’ll be available in three SKUs, with the base model featuring a 3.20 GHz third-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 6GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive, Intel Integrated HD graphics and a 64-bit copy of Windows 8. Pricing for the XPS One 27 starts at $1,599.99.

Lastly, the XPS 13 Ultrabook is Dell’s $999.99 thin and light PC, which has a machined aluminum and carbon fiber base that keeps its weight under three pounds, while its 13.3-inch 720p display, third-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, Intel HD 4000 graphics and 128GB of SSD allow it to power through any task.

Preorders for all three Dell Windows 8 PCs start on Friday on the company’s website with products scheduled to begin shipping on October 26th.
