    Audeze Mobius Gaming Headphones

Audeze, makers of high-quality planar magnetic headphones, is now in the gaming market with their latest Audeze Mobius Gaming Headphones ($399). But these headphones add some magic to them in that they can actually track your head position, giving you an optimal and immersive 3D sound experience.

    Mobius Features

Advanced is not quite the word for these pair of cans. If you’re a movie buff or a solid gamer, the Audeze Mobius will delight with quality surround sound, a 3D soundstage and as mentioned, the Mobius uses sensors inside the headset that track your head movement. They achieve these buy using a technology called Waves Nx, which records your head movement a thousand times a second.  So, when you turn your head right or left, the audio moves with you, offering unparalleled 3D immersive surround sound.

Because of these built-in technologies, it makes movie watching completely cinematic, and gaming even better. And for those times when simple music listening is all you need, it can adjust sound from 2.0 stereo all the way up to 7.1 surround sound.

    Audeze Mobius

The Mobius also supports LDAC, which is a Bluetooth wireless standard developed by Sony, which streams audio at up to 3x the normal bit-rate. Wireless never sounded so good. An included detachable microphone gives you your high-end communication with other gaming friends, and the headband is super comfortable and flexible, providing a relaxed but secure fit that lasts as long as your gaming or movie marathon does.

    Performance

With Audeze’s traditionally fabulous planar magnetic drivers, the Mobius does not disappoint in the performance area. They’re not only the best gaming headset out there, but they may be on the short list as one of the best sounding headphones out there as well. The 100mm drivers themselves do a great job at reducing distortion, much better than a dynamic driver, providing audiophile-grade sound quality you simply don’t usually get, even in competing higher-end headsets.

Additionally, Audeze offers a Creator Edition of the Mobius, which includes 3D audio plug-ins for pro-grade audio workstation applications like Ableton Live and Pro Tools. These let you manipulate and master sound in 3D, which any pro music producer would appreciate.

The Audeze Mobius Headphones come in Team Blue and Team Copper and sell for $399. For more information or to purchase, visit Audeze here.
