While Honor recently introduced their flagship smartphone, the Honor View 20, a device that could be one of the best out on the market in 2019, even more pleasing is that the company also unveiled the new Honor Watch, which comes in two models – the Honor Watch Dream and Honor Watch Magic. The Honor Watch Magic was actually launched in China last year, but both the Magic and the Honor Watch Dream are built with stainless steel and come in at 32.5g (1.15oz) and a thickness of 9.8mm. They both also have a ceramic coating that is 6-times tougher than stainless steel, which means they should be able to resist abuse with ease.1.2-inch AMOLED displays fit both watches, with a 390 x 390 resolution. That’s a pixel density of 326 pixels-per-inch. Inside, the phones have a dual chip set aimed at a high level of efficiency. Because of that, Honor says that the watches will last a hefty seven days on a single charge, which blasts away any competitive smartwatch battery. Not only that, but they’ll get a full day of use with only 10 minutes of charging.
Smartwatches are all about fitness tracking these days, and the Honor Watch does a good job in that department. Both have 24-hour heart rate monitors, are water-resistant to up to 50 meters, and have Honor’s TruSleep slumber monitoring and TruRelax blood pressure monitoring, to name a few features.
The main difference between the Honor Watch Dream and Honor Watch Magic is colors. The Honor Dream comes in White Apricot and Coral Pink, while the Honor Watch Magic comes in Moonlight Silver, Dark Blue and Lava Black.
Price-wise, the Honor Watch Magic and Dream run $205, and will be available in the U.K. and other parts of Europe starting on January 23. As far as state-side, it could be a while.
