DESIGN & SPECS
Starting with the robot’s size, the Dreame Bot L10 Pro comes at a reasonably compact size, measuring just 13.89 inches long by 13.78 inches wide by 3.81 inches tall (353 x 350 x 96.8 mm), and this smart robot vacuum cleaner is also fairly lightweight, weighing only 8.15 lbs. (3.7 kg).
Additionally, this smart robot vacuum cleaner also features a very minimalist design, as it comes with a simple, yet gorgeous black body with a glossy finish.
On top of that, this smart robot vacuum cleaner is also made of high-quality plastic, which not only makes the whole unit quite durable, but also gives it a very stylish and modern look.
Now, moving on to the robot’s several cleaning components. Starting right at the bottom of the unit, on each side of the robot’s body, we have its ultra-durable wheels, which are powered by the robot’s powerful Japanese Nidec Brushless Motor. Moreover, right at the front, we also have one Universal Wheel.
Its ultra-durable side wheels ultimately make the robot capable of crossing just about any obstacles in its path that measure up to 8 inches (20 mm) tall, which basically means that this smart robot vacuum cleaner can cross just about any doorsill, as well as rails and carpets with absolute ease.
It’s also worth noting that the robot’s Nidec Brushless Motor works at a Rated Power of 46W, which basically gives the Dreame Bot L10 Pro a Maximum Suction Power of 4000Pa for an intense and powerful suction performance that allows the robot to effectively remove any hair, dust, and other particles from its pathway. The robot’s 46W Nidec Brushless Motor features a fairly quiet operation, working at just 65 dB.
In addition to all of that, the Dreame Bot L10 Pro is also capable of recognizing carpets automatically, for which the robot will automatically boost its Suction Power pressure to allow it to more easily pick up any dirt or mess from both the carpet’s surface as well as deep within the carpet, and that ultimately ensures that the L10 Pro is able to achieve the best cleaning results.
Furthermore, still at the bottom of the robot, we also have its dedicated 0.1mm extra-thin Spiral Roller Brush (meaning its main brush), which is integrated right at the center of its body and comes equipped with a set of comb teeth integrated into its brush module, which basically help to ensure that any and all hairs picked up by L10 Pro are mostly untangled during its clean-up process, while also ensuring that the robot can more easily pick up any debris in its pathway.
Note that the robot’s central Spiral Roller Brush is responsible for sweeping dust, dirt, pet dander, and any other particles directly into the robot vacuum’s opening.
The robot’s Spiral Roller Brush is detachable, and comes together with a small cleaning brush that can be used to clean its Spiral Roller Brush.
Other than the robot’s main brush, there’s also a Side Brush, which rotates horizontally and is responsible for sweeping debris towards the center of the vacuum. While this Side Brush doesn’t do much on a carpet, it is still great at expanding the robot’s maximum cleaning area on any solid surfaces. Since we’re on the topic, the robot’s Maximum Sweeping Area is exactly 2690 ft² (249.90 m²).
Now, moving on to the top side of the robot’s body, located right inside its housing, we have its 270ml (0.07 Gallons) Intelligent Water Tank, which is what is used for the robot’s mopping function.
Just like its Spiral Roller Brush, the robot’s 270ml Gallons Water Tank can also be easily removed for any time that you need to empty it out and fill it with some new clean water.
For the robot’s mopping function, we also have an included Anti-Bacteria Mop Cloth Attachment, which is perfect for having the robot mopping any hardwood floors.
The robot’s 270ml Intelligent Water Tank is quite good at dispensing the exact amount of water that’s needed to keep its Anti-Bacteria Mop Cloth damp, but not soaking wet. It’s also worth to mention that for its mopping function, the Dreame Bot L10 Pro features a Maximum Mopping Area of 2152 ft² (199.92 m²).
Moreover, right at the front-side of the robot, we can also find its built-in High-Precision Infrared Smart Sensors, which are very effective on detecting any objects in front of the robot, thus giving it both anti-collision and anti-fall security functionalities that ultimately allow this smart robot to have full perception of its surrounding environment.
Additionally, this 2-in-1 Vacuum and Mopping Smart Robot also comes equipped with a 570ml (0.15gal) Removable Dust Bin.
Last but not least, right at the top-side of the robot, we also have its Smart Lidar Navigation System, which enables it to have a better accuracy, a faster mapping, and a stronger performance in bypassing obstacles, and a much more efficient route planning for its smart cleaning functionalities.
As stated before, the robot’s ultra-smart Lidar Navigation System is exactly what allows the DreameTech Dreame Bot L10 Pro to learn the entire layout of your home, for which the robot then builds its own personal smart 3D maps, and these are what allow the robot to smoothly navigate and clean in neat and efficient rows.
INTERFACE / CONTROL PANEL
Now, moving on to the robot’s interface / Control Panel. Right at the top of the unit, we also have a simple row of Soft Touch Buttons, which can be used to perform the Dreame Bot L10 Pro’s most basic functions.
These buttons allow users to Start a Cleaning Cycle, to activate the robot’s Spot Clean function, or to Send Back the robot directly to its Charging Station.
Nevertheless, it’s important to note that these buttons are only meant to be used as basic controls, as they only scratch the surface of what the L10 Pro Smart Robot can actually do, mainly because most of the robot’s controls are actually performed through the robot’s Smartphone Companion App (meaning the Mi Home App – which we’ll cover in just a bit, coming right at the end of the article).
BATTERY & BATTERY LIFE
Now, just like any other smart robot vacuum cleaner, the DreameTech Dreame Bot L10 Pro comes equipped with an internal battery, which for its case, is a powerful 5200mAh Lithium-Ion Battery that can offer you an ultra-long runtime of up to 150 minutes, which is just enough to clean up to 2690 ft² (249.90 m²) and mop up to of 2152 ft² (199.92 m²) in one single charge (with the robot running at low power, that is, so keep that in mind too).
Additionally, since the robot also integrates a Smart Battery Managing System, the Dreame Bot L10 Pro can automatically detect when its running low on power, and whenever that happens, the robot will start moving directly back to its dedicated Charging Station.
OTHER NOTABLE FEATURES
Multiple Cleaning Modes
The Dreame Bot L10 Pro also features Multiple Cleaning Modes, from which you can select to have it only cleaning specific rooms (Clean By Rooms Mode), to cover the Whole House (Full Cleaning Mode), or even to have the robot cleaning twice for a better result (Double Cleaning Mode).
Additionally, you can also further configure its mapping system by simply defining Virtual Walls to have No-Go Zones, thus forcing the robot those specific areas, which can be just about anything (like your child’s playing area for example).
Voice Assistant Support
Best of all, for Smart Home fans, the L10 Pro Smart Robot also features Voice Assistant Support, which can be enabled by connecting it to any of your Amazon Alexa devices. Then, once you have the robot connected to Alexa, your Dreame Bot L10 Pro will be able to respond to any of your Voice Commands.
THE SMARTPHONE COMPANION APP – The Mi Home App (Mijia App)
As mentioned before, most of the robot’s functionalities can be controlled directly from its Smartphone Companion App, called the Mi Home App, which is available to download for free for both iOS and Android devices.
Overall, the App is extremely intuitive and very easy to use, and with it, you can configure the robot to do an amazing job at plotting out your home’s entire layout.
Once the robot finishes mapping the entire house, you can then use the App to set names for each area and also configure the robot to vacuum those areas according to your needs.
Other than that, the App also allows you to adjust the robot’s Suction Power and Water Distribution, and also lets you check its current battery level.
Lastly, I’d also like to mention that the company recently announced that the App will soon have a 3-floor Map Memory function available (somewhere during mid-April 2021).
