EyeQue Vision Monitoring Kit – Tests Vision, Glasses & Tracks Vision Changes

We all know that as time goes by and we get older, our eyesight starts to get worst. Not only that, but many people around the globe can also start to experience different eyesight conditions that result in the loss of their eyes’ natural ability to focus and accurately see within their surroundings, and this can happen at any time of their lives. Those eyesight conditions can be nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, as well as color deficiency, color blindness or contrast sensitivity. In fact, recent statistics suggest that approximately 4 in 10 adults in the US is at high risk for serious vision loss, as nowadays, peoples’ eyes are used for working overtime hours, now more than ever before. What’s worst is that vision loss can ultimately lead to adverse health consequences, such as increased risk for falls and injury, social isolation, depression, or even reduced health-related quality of life and daily functioning. With all that said, it would be great if families had a more reliable way of testing their vision wellness on a regular basis. As a matter of fact, there is, and that’s by using the EyeQue Vision Monitoring Kit.

The EyeQue Vision Monitoring Kit is an all in-one vision monitoring kit with different vision testing devices for at-home use that can be used to test for multiple types of color deficiency / blindness and contrast sensitivity, as well as for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

To put it simply, this all in-one vision monitoring kit brings affordable eye care to everyone, as it provides families with a reliable and easy-to-use at-home vision testing solution that packs a suite of vision tests which ultimately allow multiple family members to regularly test their eyesight and the accuracy of their current glasses and contacts, as well as to track any potential vision changes.

All of the kit’s different vision tests work based on users utilizing an optical smartphone attachment, a Mobile App, and a secure cloud-based processing and service center.

With the EyeQue Vision Monitoring Kit, families can take an active role in their vision wellness in between visits to their optometrist (eye doctor) in order to help and ultimately ensure that all family members with any sort of vision impairment or vision deficiency can always see well throughout their daily lives.

Now, let’s have a more detailed look at this all in-one vision monitoring kit and check out what each of its included vision-testing gadgets have to offer you and all of your other family members.

THE KIT AS A WHOLE AND ITS DIFFERENT VISION TESTING DEVICES

First and foremost, we’d once again like to mention that the EyeQue Vision Monitoring Kit is an all in-one vision monitoring kit that comes with a few different vision testing devices for at-home use, for which all those devices can separately be used to test for multiple types of color deficiency / blindness and contrast sensitivity, as well as for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

To be a little more specific, the kit includes three different accessories for users to test their vision and glasses as well as for tracking any potential vision changes.

EyeQue Insight Plus (Visual Acuity Screener)

So, starting with the first of the kit’s vision-testing gadgets, we have the EyeQue Insight Plus, which is a visual acuity screener that all family members can use to easily perform three (x3) different vision tests that can be done by anyone, no matter if they use glasses or contacts, or even if they don’t use neither of those.

These tests can be Visual Acuity tests, Color Deficiency tests, and Contrast Sensitivity tests.

A Visual Acuity test will allow users to know if their eyes are seeing 20/20 in about a minute.

A Color Deficiency test will allow users to see if they have any of the three common color deficiencies (deuteranopia, tritanopia, and protanopia).

Lastly, performing a Contrast Sensitivity test will allow users to see if they have any sort of problems seeing variations of light and dark.

Users can perform all of these tests while wearing their glasses or contacts to know if it’s time for an update. It’s also worth pointing out that both children and adults can perform these tests.

With this vision-testing device, users can perform unlimited refraction tests and also get personalized vision reports.

In addition, this device also provide users with test results, as well as with EyeGlass Numbers that come exactly in the same format that the prescription for your glasses’ lenses would.

Results also include a user’s estimated age-based reading glasses recommendation (NV ADD+), and that goes for both readers and bifocals. Note that the spherical measurements for these tests are limited to +8.00D to -10.00D, and cylindrical measurements are also limited, going from 0.00D to -4.00D, so keep that in mind.

Just like the Insight Plus goggles, the kit’s VisionCheck Refractometer needs to be first attached to a user’s smartphone in order for users to be able to perform these tests (nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism).

    EyeQue VisionCheck App

Then, the last step is to connected the VisionCheck device to your Smartphone via Bluetooth through the EyeQue VisionCheck App (available to download for free for both iOS and Android devices), which is where users will then be able to perform tests for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
