DESIGN
Starting with the unit’s size, this 2-in-1 modular charging system has a small footprint, meaning it doesn’t take up too much space from where you set it up, whether that’s on a countertop, on top of your desk, or your nightstand, even when having its modules combined together.
The Scosche BaseLynx 2.0 Kit also sports a stylish and minimalist design that gives it a modern and discreet aesthetic, allowing it to easily blend in with the rest of your personal space.
Moreover, this 2-in-1 modular charging system also packs a sturdy construction, as the outer case from each its charging modules is built of high-quality TPU plastic.
INTERFACE, POWER SPECS & CONNECTIVITY
We’ll now go over the power specifications and the connectivity options offered by each of the kit’s charging modules.
Firstly, there’s the kit’s BaseLynx 2.0 Vert module, a vertical multi-device charging station that allows users to organize, store, and quickly recharge up to three devices via its three USB-C PD charging ports (integrated at the center of its base), which are rated to have a shared Power Output of 60 Watts.
That said, keep in mind that using just one USB-C port will provide your device with its entire 60W Output, while using two USB-C ports will provide a split 30W Output per port, and ultimately using all its three USB-C ports will essentially deliver only 20W Output per port.
In addition, there’s also the kit’s BaseLynx 2.0 2-in-1 Stand module, a charging stand which can hold, display, and charge an iPhone 12 (or later) via MagSafe charging, for which it boasts 15 Watts of Power Output.
