Its single-button interface features one multi-functional touch button in the form of Puffco’s official logo, along with an LED status light directly below it that informs users about the device’s currently selected mode or about its battery status.
To turn the device On or Off, simply press and hold its multi-functional button for 3 seconds. Once the device is one, performing single clicks will allow you to cycle through its heat settings ranging between 490ºF to 590ºF (254.44ºC to 310ºC), which offer you real-time temperature controls.
The Puffco New Peak features a total of 4 heat presets, which include:
- Low (High Flavor) at 490ºF (254.44ºC) – This heat preset is represented by a Blue LED light color and is best used for delicate extracts, giving you optimal flavor for your concentrates with the least amount of vapor.
- Medium (Balanced Flavor) at 510°F (265.55ºC) – This second heat preset is represented by a Green LED light color and offers you the best of both worlds, giving you a balanced flavor for your concentrates and some vapor.
- High (Strong Vapor) at 530°F (276.66ºC) – This third heat preset is represented by a Red LED light color and allows for a higher vapor production while maintaining flavor quality for your concentrates.
- Peak (Most Vapor) at 590°F (310ºC) – This is the e-rig’s highest heat preset, which is represented by a bright White LED light color, and is mostly suitable for delivering the most amount of vapor and strength with less flavor.
This smart electric dab rig also features a Boost mode that extends the time of your selected heating cycle by 15 seconds and increases the temperature of your hit by 18ºF (10ºC). USAGE TIPS
The Puffco New Peak can be used to heat up and dab a wide variety of cannabis concentrates with different consistencies for as long as they aren’t super runny, sappy or in liquid form. More specifically, this electric dab rig can handle water hash, rosin, resin, diamonds, bubble hash, dry sift, budder, and shatter.
To get the most vapor while using the Puffco New Peak, note that you shouldn’t hold down its Joystick Cap, and instead move it in a gentle circular motion.
We’d also like to mention that the device should not be held at an angle, and instead should be held straight upwards.
BATTERY & BATTERY LIFE
For its battery, this electric dab rig comes equipped with a Lithium-Ion battery that has a long battery life, offering you up to 35 dabs per charge.
Whenever its battery is running low on power, the device’s LED status light will blink with a Red light color.
To recharge its battery, simply connect its included USB-C charging cable to the device’s USB-C charging port (found at the front side of its base).
While charging, the LED status light will pulse, and will automatically turn off once its battery is fully charged. It takes approximately 2 hours for the e-rig’s battery to go from 0% back to 100% power.
MAINTENANCE TIPS
To clean the device’s 3D chamber, first remove the cap unscrew the chamber from its base, then use a cotton swab to gently remove any residue with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol.
For a deep cleaning, submerge its chamber in 90%+ isopropyl alcohol for a total of 20 minutes. Note that you should not use water for this.
Then, to clean its base, remove its glass top and 3D chamber, then gently clean the gold threads using cotton swabs soaked in 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. After that, clean the airpath between the chamber and the glass. Do not let water seep into the gold threads of the base at any time.
Finally, to clean the e-rig’s glass top, carefully remove it from the device’s base, then submerge it in 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. After soaking in alcohol, thoroughly rinse its glass top with water to clean it and ensure an enjoyable and flavorful experience again. Remember to allow the glass top to dry properly before re-attaching it to the e-rig’s base. Do not let water seep into the bottom chamber of glass.
