Puro Sound Labs BT2200-Plus – Volume Limited Kids’ Bluetooth Headphones

Just like adults enjoy listening to music, so do children. This means that sooner or later, most kids want to have their own pair of headphones to listen to music at home, during their school breaks, or while traveling. The only problem is that most headphones on the market are designed to be used by adults, which doesn’t make them a viable option. Not only are these headphones too large and heavy for kids to wear, but they also have unregulated volume levels that can lead to permanent hearing damage. Children’s hearing is incredibly sensitive, much more so than adults. Therefore, it’s better to get your kids a pair of volume-limiting kids’ headphones. This type of headphones is particularly engineered to have limited volume levels that do not exceed 85 decibels, the volume limit for children most hearing health professionals recommend. For parents looking for such headphones that are designed with a focus on kids’ hearing-health, the Puro Sound Labs BT2200-Plus are an excellent choice to go with.

The Puro Sound Labs BT2200-Plus are volume-limited Bluetooth headphones for kids that are specifically designed to protect children’s eardrums from early hearing damage. They feature 40mm dynamic drivers and a patent-pending Puro Balanced Response Curve that together deliver a studio-grade audio-quality, two limited volume ranges of 85dB and of 95dB, a fully passive design that blocks 83% background noise at 1 kHz just by wearing them, plus support for voice calls. They also integrate built-in on-ear controls, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a 3.5mm volume-limited audio cable that allow for unlimited listening, come with a daisy chain cable for two headphones to share one device, and boast Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, up to 20 battery and USB-C charging support.

Parents will love these volume-limited headphones for their hearing-health focused design, while their kids will love them for their comfort level, wireless connectivity via Bluetooth, and their great sound quality. With them, you can ensure that your kids’ hearing health is adequately protected, allowing them to enjoy music at a safe hearing level as they grow.

    AUDIO SPECS & AUDIO QUALITY

Moving on to the headphones’ audio specifications and audio quality. For reproducing their sound, the Puro Sound Labs BT2200-Plus come equipped with a set of 40mm dynamic speaker drivers and also leverage a patent-pending Puro Balanced Response Curve (a unique sound frequency response curve) that together deliver a studio-grade audio-quality.

What’s more is that since these volume-limited headphones for kids are specifically designed to protect children’s eardrums from early hearing damage, they also feature two limited volume ranges, the first of 85dB, which is the safe hearing volume level recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), and the second volume range of 95dB, which allows kids to safely listen to music at a slightly louder volume level for a recommended time of 50 minutes at most.

This particular design choice makes the headphones’ 40mm dynamic drivers capable of delivering a genuine, studio-like sound, where children will be able to notice clear, crisp vocals, balanced mids, and full dynamic bass, all within the safety volume level of 85dB.

On top of that, the Puro Sound Labs BT2200-Plus also feature a fully passive design that blocks 83% background noise at 1 kHz just by wearing them, which eliminates the need for higher volume limits.

Lastly, the headphones also integrate a built-in microphone that enables them to be used for performing voice calls when paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth.

    INTERFACE / BUILT-IN CONTROLS

For controlling their operation and adjusting their volume level, these volume-limited Bluetooth headphones also integrate built-in on-ear controls.

Going from top to bottom, there’s a Power LED indicator light, followed by an On/Off volume limiter switch, and a volume increase and volume decrease buttons.

In addition, the headphones also integrate a 3.5mm headphone jack, for which they come with a 3.5mm volume-limited audio cable that allow for unlimited listening without using their battery.

Plus, the headphones also come together with a daisy chain cable for two headphones to share one device.

    CONNECTIVITY

For their connectivity, these volume-limited headphones for kids utilize Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, for which the headphones support a maximum wireless range up to 30 ft. (9.14 m).

    BATTERY & BATTERY LIFE

For their power, the headphones come equipped with Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery that can offer kids up to 20 of battery life, and approximately 200 hours of standby power.

As for recharging the headphones’ battery, know that the headphones support USB-C charging, meaning children simply have to connect their USB-C charging cable to the headphones’ USB-C charging port. It only takes a couple hours to recharge the headphones’ battery, so this is best done overnight.
