Starting with the device’s size, this dual-use vaporizer has a sleek form factor, which makes it ultra-portable and travel-friendly. It’s small enough to fit inside your pocket, but you can also conveniently carry it inside a bag or backpack.
The DaVinci IQ3 also features a very stylish design. The vaporizer comes in a single solid color and has a smooth, glossy finish that adds an elegant touch to its aesthetic. For our review unit, the company was kind enough to send us the Onyx Black color model (also available in Gray, Purple, and Light Blue).
Furthermore, the device also packs a premium construction, meaning it’s built to last. The vaporizer’s case (i.e. its outer shell) is built of aircraft-grade brushed aluminum, while most of its internal components (such as its mouthpiece and flavor chamber) are made of zirconia glass. In particular, its conduction oven is built of a smooth ceramic material that optimizes flavor.
Moving on to the vaporizer’s main components. For its heating element, this vaporizer integrates a large dual-use conduction oven that’s 33% larger than that of its predecessor (the IQ2), giving it even more capacity than the previous model. INTERFACE / CONTROL PANEL
For controlling the vaporizer’s heating process, the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer features a set of user-friendly controls integrated at the right side of the device that have an intuitive interface.
Close to the top of the vaporizer’s lid, there’s its dedicated Power button. Directly below it, there’s also a set of Temperature Control Buttons (marked with (+) and (-) signs) that enable you to perform precise temperature adjustments with 1-degree accuracy for the heating temperature of the vaporizer’s conduction oven.
What’s more is that the DaVinci IQ3 also features four programmed Smart Path temperature settings that range between 32ºF to 430ºF (0ºC to 221ºC). The vaporizer’s heating process only takes up 30 seconds in its highest temperature setting, but it can be adjusted up to 10 minutes long.
It’s also worth mentioning that this vaporizer also has an automatic shutoff function for added safety.
Moreover, integrated at the front of the device, there’s also a built-in LED Grid comprised of 51 LED lights arranged in a vertical layout that conveniently show you the heating temperature that’s currently set.
CONNECTIVITY
For pairing it up with its mobile app, the DaVinci IQ3 Vaporizer utilizes Bluetooth connectivity.
BATTERY & BATTERY LIFE
For its power, this dual-use dry herb vaporizer comes equipped with a type 21700 Lithium-Ion battery that can offer users up to 90 minutes of battery life (depending on what temperature settings you’re using).
We’d also like to note that the vaporizer’s type 21700 Li-Ion battery is also removable, meaning that once its battery degrades, you can simply swap it out for a new one. This design choice essentially ensures the vaporizer doesn’t become useless after its battery dies out.
As for charging its battery, the vaporizer supports USB-C charging. Whenever its battery is running low on power, you simply have to connect its USB-C charging cable to its USB-C charging port (located at the back side of the device). It takes approximately 3 hours for the vaporizer’s battery to recharge back to full power.
