myFirst Showcases Groundbreaking Kid-Friendly Devices at CES 2025

In today’s digital age, technology has become an integral part of our lives. From smartphones and smartwatches to earbuds and other everyday gadgets, these devices have become indispensable for today’s modern society. However, this poses a problem for families with children, as these devices aren’t typically designed with kids’ safety in mind. While such devices offer children the ability to learn and develop new skills as they grow older, they also carry significant risks when it comes to kids’ safety and privacy, as it could cause them to get addicted to social media, potentially experience cyberbullying, and could also expose them to inappropriate content and online predators. Enter myFirst, a global kids-tech brand who recently showcased its product line of kid-friendly devices at CES 2025, the world’s first kids tech ecosystem designed exclusively for kids ages 4 and above, which aims to provide children, parents, and families with technology that truly prioritizes kids’ safety, education and exploration.

    WHO IS MYFIRST?

myFirst is a 7-year old pioneering kids-tech company based in Singapore that’s looking to revolutionize the way children interact with technology through its product line of kid-friendly devices in a manner that’s both safe and engaging. Founded back in 2017 by a team of visionary parents, myFirst is now a global leader in kid-friendly technology.

The company was originally started by G-Jay Yong, the founder and CEO of myFirst, who became inspired to create a digital camera suitable for children after his two-year-old daughter asked him to take pictures with his Canon DSLR, which was too heavy for her to use at the time. After not finding any decent options on the market, G-Jay developed the myFirst Camera, which led to the start of myFirst KidsTech.

With the official launch of its myFirst Camera, the company quickly became the leading children’s camera brand in South Korea. Not long after, myFirst started expanding its product line, which now covers 10 device categories, including cameras, advanced wearables, headphones and other audio gear, as well as touch-safe 3D pens, digital frames, and more.

Designed to introduce kids to technology and ultimately keep them safe, myFirst’s devices are also integrated with a parent-controlled social network that empower kids to learn, play, and grow, while simultaneously providing parents with parental controls that help ensure their kids’ safety.

myFirst’s kid-friendly devices are currently available for purchase in 52 countries and are already trusted by over a million families in 120 countries. At the end of 2023, the company got into US market, and has since been selling their kid-safe devices in major retailers such as Walmart, Best Buy, Sam’s Club, and Mediamarkt.

myFirst recently showcased its product line of kid-friendly devices at CES 2025, for which their most recent products include a smartwatch phone, an AI-powered kid’s camera, hearing protection earbuds, and touch-safe 3D pens, along with the myFirst Circle app, the first social sharing ecosystem for kids.

During CES 2025, we had the opportunity to interview myFirst’s founder and CEO, G-Jay Yong, who proudly mentioned that “Since we started myFirst, our mission has been to create a brand that actually focuses on the kids and on developing technology that’s specifically designed for kids. That’s exactly why the company is called myFirst, essentially helping parents introduce their kids to the world of technology with their first camera, their first smartwatch phone, etc.”

G-Jay added by saying that “Our ultimate goal at myFirst is to create a safe digital world for kids with our kid-friendly devices, through which they can stay safely connected with their family and friends while they learn how to use these technologies.”

G-Jay also noted that: “In addition to our kid-friendly devices, we’ve also wanted to create a social platform that’s designed specifically for kids. While we already have social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, all these platforms pose severe dangers for children, as all parents know. This is why we’ve recently developed the myFirst Circle app, which consists of a social sharing ecosystem for kids, their friends and their family.”
